About the Author

HAROLD R. JACOBS is teacher of mathematics and science, writer, and well-respected speaker. He received his B.A. from UCLA and his M.A.L.S from Wesleyan University. Mr. Jacobs has received the Distinguished Teacher Award, the Senior Extension Teacher award, the Most Outstanding High School Mathematics Teacher in Los Angeles award, the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics Teaching, and many other acknowledgments.
