White illustrated wraps. 24 pp. Black and white illustrations throughout. A catalog to a 1981 exhibition, featuring a critical introduction examining the art and impact of the work of George Bellows, followed by descriptive and critical commentary on works included in the exhibition. George Bellows was an American Realist painter of the early 1900s, known for his depictions of life in New York, as well as critiques of social themes at the time, leaning toward a left or anarchist tendency in his artistic beliefs. VERY GOOD condition. Minor toning to the wrappers. Light edgewear.
