George The Mischievous Ghost Of York

By Kyle Thompson

Meet George — York’s most loveable, laughable, and completely terrible ghost.

For over 300 years, George has haunted the historic city of York, floating through narrow alleyways, sneaking into teashops, and doing his very best (or worst!) to spook the tourists. There’s just one problem… he’s awful at being scary.

Join George on a whirlwind of ghostly adventures as he tangles with poetic banshees, sleepy spirits, magical mazes, and a very opinionated cat. From the shadows beneath York Minster to the giggles of ghost parades, George discovers that being a ghost isn’t about how loud you wail — it’s about friendship, curiosity, and a pinch of mischief.

Brimming with charm, humor, and heart, this delightful chapter book is perfect for young readers who love ghost stories with a giggle and a sprinkle of magic.
