About the Author
Ms. Fritz was the author of forty-five books for children and young people. Many center on historical American figures, gaining her a reputation as the premier author of biographies for children and young people.
Among the other prestigious awards Ms. Fritz has garnered are: the National Humanities Medal, the Children's Literature Legacy Award, the May Hill Arbuthnot Lecture Award. the Christopher Award, the Boston Globe-Horn Book Non-Fiction Award, a New York Times Notable Book of the Year, and many ALA Notable Books of the Year, School Library Journal Best Books of the Year, and ALA Booklist Editors’ Choice Awards.
She passed away on May 14, 2017.

Additionally, we have a large tabletop game selection, including board games, dice and card games, and Role-Playing titles. We have a wide selection of puzzles from Pomegranate and others. We have in stock new, each year, a large collection of current year Calendars with 100s of titles and styles to choose from, always discounted. We buy and trade books and games whenever the store is open, and we are looking for material for every section. Store credit can be used on new and used material. We are interested in large purchases, such as collections and estate sales. We are particularly looking for gaming books, metaphysics, history, cooking, science, Pennsylvania history and children's books. Delivery Expectations
We ship most orders within 1-3 business days. All orders ship via United States Postal Service.
Standard
Media Mail shipments within the U.S. typically arrive within 3 to 8 business days, however; shipments may take up to 3 to 5 weeks to arrive.
Deliveries to APO / FPO / DPO addresses as well as packages to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands can take 3 to 8 weeks to arrive.
Expedited
Priority Mail shipments within the U.S. typically arrive within 2 to 3 business days, occasionally they take as long as 6 business days.
International
First-Class / Priority Mail shipments typically arrive in 2 to 4 weeks (they occasionally take up to 8-12 weeks due to delays in customs).
Note: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to purchasing. Shipping Terms
Orders typically ship via U.S. Media Mail within two (2) business days. We base our shipping rates on the average costs of shipping plus materials. We do not try to profit from shipping, preferring to keep the customers costs down. Heavier items we may contact the buyer regarding additional shipping, particularly overseas.
We wrap our items in water-resistant paper or bubble wrap prior to packing. Larger items will be boxed, delicate items will be wrapped in added padding particularly to protect covers, spines and corners. Smaller to medium items are packaged in paper-padded envelopes then all seams sealed with packing tape.
Insurance is generally not included for items under $100. If you want added insurance, please contact us to make arrangements.
