Dated by George Washington himself in 1745, this is the oldest of all his known writings. He was born 1731. These also happen to be the opening lines of the recent "Young Washington" movie that just came out. The movie was pretty good btw. Nothing filthy or Je-w-ish slipt in there, no ulterior agendas. It remained extremely close to the history, even word for word. The movie is a project really; they're raising donations even now, for like I said, it's not a Je-wish production.
This Reprint has Young Washington's rendition at the top, the original french book his learnings are based on underneath, and yet underneath again, the original French edition translated into english.
P.S. the more I read the source records concerning this man, the more I realize just how underrated the mythos really is. The one great proof of his honor above all else, at least to me, is his will. Read his will. The man refused to deny "my mulatto man, calling himself William Lee". Why would Washington go out of his was to add such detail that not only was he mixed, which he knew would open the door for speculation, but went as far as to say, "he calls himself Lee, but I call him mine, and this I give him as a testimony of my sense of his attachment to me"?
Wow, The honor. Is it not treasonous, those in our state who work to bury this truth? It's for the same reason they've been dividing us over anything they can, the Revelation of this Truth, long known by studious Americans, will be the great unifier in this land. Suddenly, the blacks have no hesitation in calling it their history with pride, as well as ours. Shame becomes honor; proof of God's providence. The white man takes even more pride in such a display of honor, & the black will know that even though a slave like most the whites began in this land as well, they had the high honor of being born of the great Father of this land from the beginning.
On his death bed, he asked for the two wills he'd written, and tore up one. His will wasn't published until generations later; why? Because nobody would have doubted what Washington was testifying to back then. When he wrote it, he didn't think any would be confused as to what he was communicating. He refused to deny his boy. While always mindful not to plunge the infant nation into destruction before she got started, nor to cause his boy and family unnecessary harm, yet he still refused to deny his boy, taking full responsibility. That is honor.
Notice, they say that he had no kids, and he was very private about his family. But also notice, the honest man never says he has no kids or the many other things people assume, but is only quiet, and surely some of the founders knew of his situation, afraid of it getting out for fear of dividing the fragile nation whom all only agreed on one thing, Washington. The founding fathers had a greater interest in keeping this thing a secret than him.
We shall sell it here for nothing soon. Our people & unique culture on this land is ordained by God, both the Black Man, and the White man, brothers from the founding of this Nation. Our culture, Southern food, Blues, Folk, Rock & Roll, etc. One must have the other, else there is no American culture. So beautifully unique & defined it is, who should make us ashamed? Who does the European say has no identity? Certainly not us.
