Reference: OCLC Number / Unique Identifier:1419307182.Provenance: Galerie Kornfeld, Bern from the Estate of Tériade, the nom de plume of Stratis (or Efstratios) Eleftheriades a native of Mytilene who went to Paris in 1915 at the age of eighteen to study law, but who instead became an art critic, patron, and, most significantly, a publisher.In collaboration with Swiss publisher Albert Skira, Tériade founded the review Minotaure in 1933. For several years E. Tériade contributed and remained involved with the review, but departed in December 1937, when the 10th volume was published.In 1937 he founded the quarterly journal Verve, (1937-1960), for which he commissioned artists such as Picasso, Matisse, and Marc Chagall to produce a series of works.

Shipping Costs: For books within the US: Ground UPS $8 for first volume, $4 for each additional volume. Heavy volumes cost more. Prints and posters $20.00 for 1-3. Most foreign shipments by airmail are $17.00 up to 1 pound or $60.00 up to 2.2 kilos by courier. For all other shipments, please inquire.
UPS shipments are insured for $100.00 automatically. Higher amounts available. If merchandise is damaged in transit, customer must save shipping container and file a claim with UPS or other carrier. Do not return merchandise without having first filed the claim and received a return authorization.
