Georgie Summers and the Scribes of Scatterplot

"A rip-roaring adventure through a wildly imaginative world." ― Soman Chainani, New York Times bestselling author of The School for Good and Evil

"Inventive, imaginative, and crackling with energy." ― Amy Sparkes, New York Times bestselling author of The House at the Edge of Magic

In a world where fiction is forbidden and truth is a matter of life and death, one young boy must write a story to save humanity…

Twelve-year-old Georgie Summers only wanted to survive middle school, perfect his slingshot skills, and take care of his dad. But when a shadowy stranger kidnaps his father and vanishes before his eyes, Georgie's ordinary life shatters.

Desperate for answers, Georgie and two unlikely friends plunge into the secret realm of Scatterplot ― a fantastical world where Scribes wield the power to record human memories, protecting the truth and order of humanity itself. But a sinister force is corrupting memories from the inside out, threatening to unravel both Scatterplot and our world.

With time running out and danger around every corner, Georgie and his friends must outsmart thieves, brave a forbidden night market, and face creatures that shouldn't exist outside a nightmare. To save his father, Georgie will have to unlock a power he never knew he had―before the memories that make us who we are are lost forever.

Packed with unforgettable adventures, a crack-the-code puzzle, internal art, and sprayed edges, GEORGIE SUMMERS AND THE SCRIBES OF SCATTERPLOT launches a dazzling new fantasy series about courage, friendship, and the magic of storytelling. Perfect for fans of Percy Jackson and Impossible Creatures, Georgie Summers is made for ages 8–14 and anyone who believes a story can change the world.
