Surveying the work of a Russian sculptor through the lens of Social Realism and the avant-garde
Moscow-based artist Georgy Frangulyan (born 1945) creates monumental, classical figurative sculptures including many public works. Featuring 30 such examples, this volume is the first to consider the artist’s life and career within the context of Social Realism, the Cold War and the international avant-garde.
