About the Author
Scott Wilkerson is a professor of geosciences at DePauw University in Greencastle, IN. He holds a B.S. from Murray State University and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Prior to his appointment at DePauw, Scott was a senior research geologist with Exxon Production Research in Houston, TX. Scott's research focus is understanding the 2-D and 3-D geometric and kinematic development of fault-related folds. He also is interested in visualizing topographic landforms and structural features using Google Earth and other software programs.
Beth Wilkerson is the GIS Specialist at DePauw University. She holds a B.S. from Murray State University and an M.S. from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in applied mathematics. Beth currently supervises DePauw's GIS Center, where she works with faculty, staff, students, and administrators on GIS projects involving teaching, research, and university initiatives.
Stephen Marshak is professor of geology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where he is also the director of the School of Earth, Society, and Environment. He holds an A.B. from Cornell University, an M.S. from the University of Arizona, and a Ph.D. from Columbia University. Steve's research interests lie in structural geology and tectonics. Steve also has also authored Earth: Portrait of a Planet, Essentials of Geology, and has co-authored the Laboratory Manual for Introductory Geology, Earth Structure: An Introduction to Structural Geology & Tectonics, and Basic Methods of Structural Geology.
