20pp extract, printed in double columns, illustrated with 19 drawings, including diagrams and a small map, alvaged from a damaged issue of Scribner's Monthly Magazine, Volume V, No. 3, March, 1889. Treves, or Trier, Germany. Illustrations include the Red House hotel, the old Roman Bridge over the Moselle, front and side views of the Roman Monument of the Secundini Family at Igel, a ground plan of the Imperial Palace, a detail from the Secundini Monyment, a plan of the Roman baths, the Cathedral, the Cathedral and Church of Our Lady, the Imperial Palace from the road, another view of the palace, a view of Market Place with Porta Nigra at the end, Constantine's Basilica, the Amphitheatre, the Porta Nigra as a church in the 17th century, the modern Porta Nigra, and the Baths of Treves from an old print about 1580. Housed in protective mylar report cover with spine sleeve. This is the actual extract, not a photocopy for $55.00.
