Get Acquainted With Jesus - Study Book

Following the success of Get Acquainted With Your Bible and Get Acquainted With Your Christian Faith, this third elective in the Get Acquainted line will help adults gain an overview of the life and ministry of Jesus. Get Acquainted With Jesus is an eight-session resource focusing on the biblical accounts of Jesus, the church's doctrinal beliefs about Christ, and a person's experiential encounters with Jesus Christ today. Like the other volumes in the series, Get Acquainted With Jesus is intended for use with adults who have little or no background in the Christian faith. The Study Book is in full color. The Leader's Guide uses an option approach, making it adaptable to a variety of settings (Sunday school, retreats, new member training classes, Bible study workshops, and so forth).

Larry Beman is a pastor/educator/storyteller who lives near Rochester, New York. He has written numerous articles and curriculum resources for the United Methodist Publishing House. Following in the footsteps of his carpenter grandfather, he is part of a team that offers home repairs to low income families in a rural county in Western New York. He is blessed to be married to Barbara Bruce.

Barbara Bruce has worked as a Christian educator for nearly twenty years. She is the owner of “Process: CREATIVITY,” a consulting firm offering workshops in creative and critical thinking.
