UPDATED 2024 Edition. If you like to make greeting cards, this book explains how to get your cards into stores and sell them nationwide. Included are detailed guidelines on how to price your cards, how to get professional feedback on your designs, where to find sales representatives, how to pitch your card line to them, and what industry standards you should follow. All the information is also applicable to gift items, such as magnets, journals and calendars. Kate Harper is a professional greeting card designer who started out by making and selling her own cards, and eventually acquired over 2,000 accounts by working with greeting card industry sales representatives.
