While developing Bland’s new ad campaign, Adam meets Claire, a teenager obsessed with an idea no one believes in—time travel. Meanwhile, Bruce plots to replace his junior executive until Del, a disgraced colleague, uncovers the scheme, which costs him his life. Shattered, Adam runs amok. Ashamed to face Jenny, he flees to his uncle’s estate in the Hudson Valley.

There, behind a locked barn door, the mad scientist and an assistant keep a terrible secret—a severed head that can control minds. Then a murder rocks Jenny’s family, and Adam’s vengeful half-brother goes after the family fortune. Adam’s chances of saving the only woman he’s ever loved are running out fast.
