Advice is given to candidates covering question comprehension, answer strategies and avoiding common pitfalls, such as the merits of guessing an answer. And an additional section explains the structure of the Part 1 and Part 2 examinations and papers.
The author, Una Coales MD FRCSEd, trained in medicine in the USA and moved to the UK to practise. She has written several popular exam texts including PLAB and DRCOG having passed each exam herself.
