Get Out of the Boat: Discover the Meeting of Your Life

This lofty yet down-to-earth guide is the perfect combination of spirituality, optimism, prayer, planning, and self-discovery. Award-winning speaker Thomas J. Winninger masterfully blends these elements to create a road map to the true purpose of our lives.

Drawing on his experience as a speaker, facilitator, and deacon of St. Olaf in Minneapolis, Winninger speaks candidly about the search for meaning in our personal lives, our experience with God, and the struggle to reconcile our daily experiences with the meaning of life.

Winninger leads us through a series of self-discovery practices:

Getting into a daily habit of prayer

Using reflection to gain lifelong insights

See in Scripture the answer to life's questions

In the end, we turn the questions back to ourselves and begin to understand our purpose and the actions that will flow out of repurposing our lives in light of our faith and belief in God.

This extraordinary book is the perfect tool for understanding our own lives and truly meeting God.
