Derrick’s expertise on human potential comes from over twenty years of research and development, which focused on the "common sense" habits, beliefs and actions, which consistently create success. At sixteen years of age Derrick was a high school drop out, a drug addict and a failure; or so he thought. Derrick overcame his self-imposed limitations through studying and applying the powerful habits, beliefs and actions that are now the basis of his presentations.
At sixteen Derrick believed that there must have been some clues left behind by some of the greatest men and women who have lived in the past 3000 years; certainly, he thought, there must be a powerful formula to live life to the fullest. He found it. In his talks, Derrick shares the "little things" we all can do on a daily basis to achieve our greatest potential.
At thirty-eight years of age, Derrick retired from a distinguished career as a Vice President & Senior Investment Advisor with a major investment firm, to focus 100 % of his time on his inspirational message of purpose, passion and how to get the most out of life! Prior to working in the investment business Derrick started and ran several companies, including the Teddy Bear Gram Corporation, which earned him International recognition as a successful Entrepreneur. Derrick is listed in the International WHO’s WHO of Entrepreneurs.
Derrick studied business at Johnson State College in Vermont, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. Derrick lives in Toronto, Canada with his wife Marsha and their two dogs, Numan and Sadie.
