About the Author: Catherine Ugwu is Deputy Director of Live Arts at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London, and holds programming, curatorial, and commissioning responsibilities. She has been involved in performance and related practice since 1986. In addition to participating in international conferences and arts organizations, in 1993 she organized the seminal State of the Art Conference for the National Review of Live Art, which is the basis for Let's Get It On.
