About the Author
About The Author/Nicky "The Buzzard" Shane Growing up in East San Jose, California, iconoclast Nicky Shane Aka Mitch Pieracci was an anomaly of creativity, angst and trepidation. If the local gangs were not enough to deal with, his own family planted a fallacy garden with many weeds to exhume. Not wanting to stir the paradox, Nicky decided to guide his own ship at a very young age. Dirt poor, with a single parent and five brothers and sisters, Nicky searched for any road that would allow him his freedom. Deciding on art and athletics, his insatiable curiosity eventually caused him to experiment with drugs and seek out alternative peer groups. The verisimilitude he discovered would become the foundation of his surreal creativity. While playing football in college, Nicky worked odd jobs along with selling his art and playing music. In his early twenties he started to write and turned his life around attending drug rehab, initiating acting lessons and performing in local theaters. In 1980, after traveling to Europe, he parlayed acting into stand-up comedy and writing became his cathartic muse. After 17 years on “The Road” as an international headliner, Nicky stepped off the treadmill for a short period and has since returned to work in Las Vegas and small theaters. He has been called “One of the most original comedians working today” by HBO. Nicky has also recorded ten albums of original music and is Guinness World Records “Fastest Harmonica Player.” He continues to write and create while living in Los Angeles. www.nickyshane.com, www.facebook.com/thebuzzardcomedy www.vimeo.com/94627255 art/music www.vimeo.com/91561340 Nicky ‘The Buzzard’ Shane
