"This 6.0 x 9.0 inch, 148 page softcover book is the noted "12th Edition, Reprinted 1919" on the front wrapper of this title … with the soft green wrapper … with extensive titling and with an inset illustration of the author. This item is in overall very good condition with certainly some time wear showing to the soft covers … with a one inch tear to the spine crown and with some creases … and a bit of a stain showing to the front wrapper … but beyond that the wrapper is in solid shape … still firmly attached to the text block. The interior pages are in very good if not better condition with a fold-out map attached to the first page of the text block. and with the text pages exhibiting many maps, artistic illustrations and black-and-white photographs probably by W. H. Tipton. Apparently author Minnigh first published his guidebook to the Gettysburg battlefield in 1892 and the popularity of the guidebook took it into multiple reprinting over the ensuing decades. This copy with its 148 number pages … notes on the front wrapper "Enlarged and Revised Edition Price 25 cents" … is a great find.".
