Ghost Soldiers

Vietnam vet, Mark Luce, is faced with a dilemma. His best friend, Billy, wants him to take Sam Anderson as his client. As Mark spends time with her, he finds himself traveling down a bizarre, and not so pleasant trip down memory lane. There’s something unusual about her. Is she really who she claims to be? Or is this an elaborate plan by the government to lure him out of hiding, so he can be arrested and charged with treason?

Shawn Settle is a realistic fiction writer who writes contemporary and historical fiction for ages 15 and up, due to violence and sexual content. She spent most of her childhood in the coastal town of Wilmington, NC; and graduated from Wake Forest University. Shawn has been writing since she was in third grade; and is currently an elementary teacher in San Antonio, Texas, teaching underprivileged children. In 2007, her kitchen renovation was featured in the Better Homes and Garden "I Did It." column. In addition to being handy around the house, Shawn is an avid traveler and cross-stitcher. Her summers are spent traveling around the U.S. with her family. Her goal of visiting all 50 states was accomplished on June 15, 2017. It's not uncommon for places she has visited to show up in her stories.
