Small 8vo. 253pp. With an advertisement after the title page for sixty-five other titles in the Readers Library series. Gilt lettered and decorated maroon cloth. The binding cocked, and with a touch of wear to the spine ends and corner tips. A short creased to the lower corner of the front free endpaper, and a small area of surface abrasion to the head of the rear pastedown where it was at some point partly adhered to the free endpaper. A good bright copy in good pictorial dust wrapper, chipped with some loss to the spine panel. ends and to the head of the rear panel. A novel based on Arnold Ridley's quasi-supernatural 1923 stage play detailing the social interaction of a group of railway passengers stranded overnight at a remote rural station.
