Gilbert Harding by His Private Secretary Roger Storey

First Edition. First Edition. Gilbert Harding by Roger Storey is an affectionate and revealing biography of one of Britain's most famous radio and television personalities of the 1950s. Written by Harding's private secretary and close associate, the book offers a personal portrait of the broadcaster whose sharp wit, formidable intellect, and famously irascible public image made him a household name. Storey looks beyond the public persona to reveal a more complex and often lonely man, tracing Harding's career in broadcasting and his relationships with friends, colleagues, and admirers. Both a biography and a tribute, the book provides a fascinating insight into a remarkable figure of early British television. First Edition.
