Gin Ryu 1 : Things Considered

Gin-Ryu is an ancient katana sword and as it changes hands a story unfolds. The story takes place a year after the events of Gin-Ryu Vigilant Effort. Gin-Ryu gets donated to the Detroit Institute of Arts for their new samurai exhibit. When preparing the sword the curator is attacked and it is stolen by a street gang. The leader attempts to use Gin-Ryu to rally what's left of his members, in preparation for the impending street war. A mysterious man shows up and offers to help but at what cost?

Black Belt Hall of Fame martial artist Grand Master Stephen J. Egged is the founder of Ginryu Ju Jitsu and holds black belts in Iaido, Kenjitsu, Aikido and several forms of Ju Jitsu. He is the only person to win back to back Master of the Year awards from the EUSAIMAA. A disabled veteran with multiple sclerosis and retired Senior Federal Investigator for the United States Equal Opportunity Commission.

His writing career started when he created, wrote and drew the comic strip "The DCB King" for the Detroit College of Business's newspaper "The Falcon". He has written articles of many martial arts and comic book industry periodicals including Black Belt Magazine.   In 1994 he created, wrote and self published his break out award winning comic book series Gin-Ryu. He left the industry in 1997 to better manage his multiple sclerosis. In 2007 he took a disability retirement from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in an attempt to slow the progress of his neurological disease.    His return to writing came in 2012 with the release of his critically acclaimed graphic novel Gin-Ryu Vigilant Effort. In 2014 he followed it up with Gin-Ryu Things Considered and is continuing the Gin-Ryu line with Gin-Ryu Tortured Fate do out the end of 2014.
