Girl, Embrace IT!
Release Expert, Forgiveness Coach and creator of the Girl, Embrace IT! Movement, Shalimar C. Johnson, has discovered an Embrace method that will allow you to shift your perspective about your "IT" (a negatively impactful experience) and be free from unforgiveness, bondage and guilt.
The Holy Spirit and lessons learned from life experiences of abuse, insecurity, and unforgiveness, have qualified Shalimar to push you to freedom. In part one of this book, Shalimar takes you on a short journey through her life and shares some experiences that led her to forgiveness and self-discovery. The Embrace Method (part two) is a 7-step method that has successfully helped Shalimar as well as many others and she wants to help you!
When Shalimar used the Embrace method that God gave her, her life changed. She released the pain, fear, and anxiety that contributed to her depression and unforgiveness. Now, when life happens, Shalimar looks in the mirror and says "Girl, Embrace IT!".
About the Author
Shalimar Johnson comes to you from the State of Georgia by way of Miami, Florida. Over her 40 plus years of life, she has experienced more than the average woman in her 40's. From health scares as a young girl to insecurities as a teenager. From hanging with the stars in Hollywood to living in her car in Los Angeles. From being temporarily paralyzed as a result of a car accident to walking daily in fear. From being physically abused by her ex-husband to covering up bruises while preaching in the pulpit. Indeed, Shalimar has overcome a lot. Shalimar's experiences don't begin and end there. She became a mother, she was ordained as a minister, she earned four degrees, she became a wife, she owns a summer camp, she was healed from her pain, she became an advocate against domestic violence, she is an educator, she is a motivator and she is an overcomer! From her experiences, came the birthing of My Scars Are Beautiful, Girl, Embrace It! TV and The Girl, Embrace IT! Movement. Shalimar has always been one who believed that domestic harm should never exist. However, after experiencing abuse herself, her understanding and level of compassion became even greater. As a result of her own domestic violence experiences, Shalimar started a program called "My Scars Are Beautiful; They Are My Testimony." This program has a direct focus on encouraging survivors of domestic violence to press forward and succeed in life. Girl, Embrace IT! TV was created as an avenue for women to share testimonies of God's goodness in hopes to inspire other women to keep pushing and keep believing in God. Girl, Embrace IT! TV airs two shows every Saturday- SatHERday's with Shalimar J and After the Show-Behind the Scenes. On these shows, Shalimar answers questions that request her advice, insight or input. She also interviews women across the globe providing them with a platform to share their testimony and she honors them as "Foundational Women".Shalimar motivated people before she even knew what motivation was. In order to become more effective in her service, Shalimar decided to learn more about people and the psyche. As a result, she earned her second Master's degree in Psychology. Now, she intentionally motivates and helps others uncover and release what has been weighing them down during her "A Date with Embrace" online course. This "date" is designed as "Girl Time". You will talk about the things that have been weighing you down, the events in your life that kept you afloat, the areas in your life where you want to improve, and whatever else you decide needs to be discussed during the course. Don't worry though, your secrets are safe, your heart is considered, and your healing, purpose, and destiny are Shalimar's focus. You don't have to be on this "date" alone.
