In this delightful historical mystery, young Carrie finds herself drawn into a web of intrigue after witnessing a devastating tram crash. As a passenger named Rose dies in her arms, she presses a strange calling card into Carrie’s hand and whispers that the crash was no accident. Carrie is both shaken and intrigued.

A devoted fan of Sherlock Holmes, Carrie begins her own investigation into the mysterious events. But she’s not the only one on the case—newly promoted Detective Sergeant Jeffries and his poker-playing partner, PC Smith, are also determined to uncover the truth.

Meanwhile, a suspicious photographer is spotted at the crash site, intending to sell morbid images to curious buyers. But when Carrie discovers him dead in his darkroom the next day, the mystery deepens. Did he capture something he shouldn’t have? Or was he hiding secrets of his own?
