Girls in High Places

Beautiful and intelligent Catherine McBride wants fame, fortune, and her boss, the very rich, influential, and very married Graham Donaldson, but Graham's prominent, high society wife, Eve, is not about to give him up

When CEO Graham Donaldson hires 26-year-old Catherine McBride to work for Intercontinental Minerals, both their lives take an unexpected turn. Consumed with power, ambition, and success, Catherine with her sharp business sense soon becomes indispensable to Intercon's daily operation. Predictably, Graham and Catherine go beyond a mentor relationship, and the situation is complicated by Graham's beautiful and polished wife of 30 years. The authors take the reader behind the scenes of corporate America and although some characters are superficial and the dialogue is trite in places, the novel is fairly entertaining. This book has it allpassion, terrorism, laughter, and heartachebut primarily it is the story of a bright young woman's emotional and professional coming of age. For larger public libraries. Maria A.
