Girls!: Line to Color : Tips, insights, treats and reminiscences - from a bear in a human suit.

One of the most prolific and talented artists in the field of fantasy illustration, Australia's own Michal Dutkiewicz has made quite a name for himself down-under with his over-the-top abilities . His unique blend of the classic pin-up with a post-modern sensibility makes every one of his paintings a delight to behold! One of the most-asked questions Michal gets (past "How much do want for that painting?") is "How do you DO that?" While he can't wave a magic wand and bestow his gifts onto others, he HAS elected to do the next best thing - show an appreciative audience step-by-step just how the magic is made! From pencil tests and studies to electronic coloring techniques, Mr. Dutkiewicz let's you watch over his shoulder as he makes his creations come alive! The book "Girls! From Line to Color" is a project Michal not only created, but designed as well. Humorous, insightful, and jam-packed with illustrations, it's a must-have for any aspiring artist, amateur or professional, or simply a fan of the genre who wants a peek behind the curtain to see how the effects are created. The book is 48 pages in eye-popping color, printed on heavyweight coated stock. How do you make magic? Learn from a REAL magician! His work is truly awesome!

Dutkiewicz has been doing high quality pin-ups for an Australian publisher for the past four years.
