Description:
An early edition, but not a first edition as there are six copyright lines instead of four. Dust jacket has moderate edge wear with small tears, creases, and a couple of small chips, but is largely intact with no large tears or missing pieces. The spine ends have been reinforced with archival repair tape on the verso only, due to a small piece that was very close to becoming detached. The back has some scuffing but shows the elusive early photo of Shel Silverstein. Price shows $3.95. Dust jacket is in a new protective Brodart cover. Boards are in good to very good condition with light to mild rubbing on the corners and spine ends. Spine is tight and square. The inside front cover has a blacked out stamp; otherwise, no writing or marks. Pages are clean. No rips or bends, but there is some light foxing on the first and last page and on the fore edge.
