First published in 1914, Glasarchitektur (here translated by James Palmes) is regarded as a classic of the Expressionist phase of the modern movement. Also translated from the German (by Shirley Palmer) is Alpine Architektur by Taut published in 1919 and was inspired by the work of Scheerbart. 127 pages : illustrations, portrait ; 23 cm. First edition, first printing. Grey boards, unclipped dust jacket (now in a removable protective sleeve). Shelf wear to edges, some chipping to head of spine, previous owner's signature on front free endpaper and with a couple of small marginal marks, tight and square binding.
