Paul Scheerbart (1863-1915) veröffentlichte zahlreiche phantastisch-utopische Erzählungen und Romane, die er zum Teil auch selbst illustrierte. Der vorliegende Text, eine einzigartige Mischung aus literarischem Essay und visionärer Architekturtheorie, ist Bruno Taut gewidmet, der wiederum seinen spektakulären, 1914 auf der Kölner Werkbundausstellung errichteten expressionistischen Glaspavillon Scheerbart widmete.

Also translated from the German (by Shirley Palmer) is Alpine Architektur by Taut published in 1919 and was inspired by the work of Scheerbart. 127 pages : illustrations, portrait ; 23 cm. First edition, first printing. Grey boards, unclipped dust jacket (now in a removable protective sleeve). Shelf wear to edges, some chipping to head of spine, previous owner's signature on front free endpaper and with a couple of small marginal marks, tight and square binding.
