Synopsis:

This second volume picks up where the first left off in the identification and illustration of hundreds of glass candlesticks. Covering pieces made by 15 different American companies, alphabetically from Fostoria to Jefferson Glass. More than 800 color photographs and catalogreprints from old trade journals and advertisements light up the book. Each chapter includes a history of the factory and information about production colors and trademarks used. Every candlestick is described with dimensions, production dates, known colors, information on reissues and reproductions, the current location of the mold, as well as current values. This volume will be of particular interest to collectors of Heisey, Hobbs Brockunier, Imperial, Jeannette, and Indiana Glass. A well-illustrated appendix on identifying toy candlesticks, a glossary, and an extensive bibliography round out the book. A unique feature is an illustrated index which includes thumbnail photographs of all of the candlesticks in Volume 2. AUTHORBIO: Tom Felt is the author of Heisey Glass Candlesticks, Candelabra and Lamps, two other books on Heisey published by the Heisey Collectors of America, and co-author of a three-volume series, Glass Candlesticks. He is a frequent contributor to the Glass Collectors Digest and other magazines and newsletters. AUTHORBIO: Elaine Stoer and her husband Richard, are co-authors of a three-volume series on glass candlesticks, along with Tom Felt. She and husband Richard are advanced collectors and researchers in this field. REVIEW: This is the second volume in a three-volume series, covering Fostoria through Jefferson Glass companies. These books are undoubtedly the most comprehensive on the market. Crisp photographs and thorough facts about each candlestick are provided, along with current collector values.

About the Authors: Tom Felt's introduction to glassware began in 1977 when he and his partner, Bob O'Grady, admired a pair of candlesticks at a friend's house. Little did they know that would lead to one of the most complete collections of Heisey candlesticks anywhere, and would also result in their first book, Heisey Glass Candlesticks, Candelabra, and Lamps. Tom has since written two other books on Heisey and became a regular contributor to the Glass Collector's Digest and other periodicals.

Elaine Stoer and her husband Richard, are co-authors of a three-volume series on glass candlesticks, along with Tom Felt. She and husband Richard are advanced collectors and researchers in this field.

Richard Stoer and his wife Elaine are co-authors of a three-volume series on glass candlesticks, along with Tom Felt. He and wife Elaine are advanced collectors and researchers in this field.
