Two Volumes, Hardback, approx 8 x 5.5 inches. In fine leather bindings by Hatchards & Co. Navy blue calf leather to spines and corners with blue cloth to boards with gilt line edging. Raised banding to spines with gilt lettering, and paneled decorations. Top page edges gilt, marbled endpapers. In very good condition. Spines faded, some rubbing to raised bands on vol.2. Corners a little bumped, some small spots and handling marks to cloth on boards. Some minor foxing/darkening to endpapers, bookplates to fronts ?Mountgarret.? Neat inscription to halftitle page in vol.1, ?To Father, Xmas, 1905.? Some light foxing spots to page edges and edges of plates, page edges uncut. Else very good clean and tight copies. xi + 517 & x + 441pp. With nearly 200 B&W text illustrations and 29 full-page gravure plates by Joseph Pennell. Seller Inventory # 89028
