The suggested pre-solo syllabus is a typical chain of events in one student's training program. However, the instructor often will find it necessary to deviate from this syllabus because of weather, equipment necessary to deviate from this syllabus because of weather, equipment available, or the student's progress and previous lessons. It is best to think of the syllabus in phases. A student should not move to the next phase until the present phase is satisfactorily performed.
