Glimpses of a Good Life: Rhythms and Practices that Invite Wholeness

Therapist and professor, Walter Thiessen, offers this book as a gentle invitation to explore some of the rhythms and practices that open up the possibility of wholeness in our lives. It is a personal and experiential exploration of a model that seeks to speak to our basic human needs. His model suggests that tasting a good life for ourselves and our communities may be more possible than we sometimes think—regardless of the circumstances or limitations we see around us.

Walter Thiessen, DTh, has been a family therapist and professor for twenty years. His search for community has led him to the small town of St. Stephen, NB (Canada) where he is currently Dean of Arts at St. Stephen's University - proudly the smallest university in Canada. While he prefers being home and working in his garden, he has taught on pastoral care and wholeness in England, Hong Kong and New Zealand.
