About the Authors

Sissy Helff (Dr. phil.) lehrt Anglistik und Cultural Studies an der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt/Main. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Diaspora- und Migrationsdiskurs, Postkoloniale/Interkulturelle und Transkulturelle Studien, Repräsentation von Flucht in Literatur, Film und digitalen Medien.

Stefanie Michels ist derzeit Gastprofessorin für Globalgeschichte (Schwerpunkt Afrika) an der Universität Hamburg. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen auf der deutschen Kolonialgeschichte sowie der Globalgeschichte der Fotografie.
