About the Author
Dr Mohammad Rostami-Nejad, PhD is Director of the Celiac Disease and Gluten Related Disorders Research Center, Research Institute for Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. He holds a PhD in Clinical Immunology from the University of Amsterdam. His research focuses on celiac disease pathogenesis, diagnostics, gluten-related disorders, and clinical immunology. Dr Rostami-Nejad serves as Editor-in-Chief and board member on several journals. He has developed two diagnostic patents an HLA typing kit for celiac disease diagnosis using real-time PCR, and a rapid gluten assay kit for detection of toxic gluten peptides in food. He is editor of Gluten-Related Disorders, Diagnostic Approaches, Treatment Pathways, and Future Perspectives (Elsevier, 2021).
