"Cloopsey wants to be in the circus like his cousin Cassie.
He soon finds out the jobs are harder than he expected.
After several failed attempts, Cloopsey learns we all have
different talents. If he is the best he can be using his own
abilities, he will be accepted for what he is. He doesn't
have to pretend to be like the others."

Review
Let's Go To The Circus is an inspiring children's story that teaches persevering through struggles. Children will be able to connect with the story character. As a kindergarten teacher I will use this story to reinforce a growth mindset when things get challenging for my students. This is an excellent story for a classroom or home library.
Tammy Thomas/ Kindergarten teacher

A great book to explore hard and soft 'c'. Children will enjoy acting like Cloopsey as he finds his way to belonging in the circus! Lots of action and adventure for wiggly children! An excellent book for recalling events! A must for your 'comprehension tool kit'. This book is an excellent resource for exploring the writing craft. Discover onomatopoeia and alliteration! A great example, for children, of perseverance!

An entertaining book to teach children about a vanishing childhood experience, the circus, and an object lesson on not giving up on your dreams. Children can see how finding your special talents can help you to attain your dream.

This would be a great book to use in reviewing the hard and soft "c." It is also an enjoyable read aloud with a good moral to discuss with the children.
