God Doesn't Need Your Money

Money. Power. Authority.

Inside modern churches, financial giving is often presented as obedience to God. But what happens when faith, pressure, and institutional systems collide?

God Doesn’t Need Your Money examines how money moves through today’s church structures—how tithing is taught, enforced, and defended—and what happens to those who begin asking questions.

Drawing on firsthand experience, investigative reporting, sociology, and theology, Reuben Armstrong explores:

• How financial language shapes spiritual authority
• The psychology behind religious giving
• Leadership structures that protect themselves
• The tension between belief, loyalty, and autonomy

This is not an attack on faith. It is an examination of systems.

Written for readers navigating faith deconstruction, church accountability, or the intersection of belief and money, this book offers context, clarity, and practical insight for those seeking informed conviction rather than blind obligation.

If you’ve ever asked, “Where is the money going?”—this book is for you.
