God, Science & The Secret Doctrine: The Zero Point Metaphysics & Holographic Space of H. P. Blavatsky

"Deity ... is in every point of the universe." H. P. Blavatsky (S.D.1888, p. 114) "the Secret teachings ... must be contrasted with the speculations of modern science. To make of Science an integral whole necessitates, indeed, the study of spiritual and psychic, as well as physical Nature. ... Without metaphysics ... real science is inadmissible." H. P. Blavatsky's The Secret Doctrine was published in 1888 and is relatively unknown in modern times. As it happens in this strange universe, Madame Blavatsky anticipated numerous modern concepts concerning the creation of the Universe and the mechanisms of the laws of nature-including the holographic paradigm in psychology and physics. Blavatsky articulated the concept of the zero point or singularity origin of the Cosmos and of the Sons, and a profound alternative view of the nature of the Aether and higher Space dimensions. Blavatsky states: "... 'material points without extension' (zero-points) are ... the materials out of which the 'Gods' and other invisible powers clothe themselves in bodies ... the entire universe concentrating itself, as it were, in a single point." Dr. Holmes has grasped the profound meaning of this claim and related this ancient mystical teaching to the newest ideas in physics and science; as well as to explorations of human consciousness. God, Science & The Secret Doctrine raises the ultimate question of the existence or non-existence of God-and what we mean by this term.

Christopher Patrick Holmes was born in Sussex, England on October 7, 1949 and raised in Ontario, Canada. He graduated with a B.A. from Carleton University, Ottawa in 1971 and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Waterloo in 1978. Christopher taught at York University, Downsview (Toronto) Ontario over an eleven-year period amidst controversy over his investigations of mystical and spiritual psychology, science and psychical phenomena. He co-founded three centers with Anita J. Mitra-the Institute for Mystical and Spiritual Science, Maple, Ontario, the Rainbow Centre in Toronto and Zero Point in the Ottawa valley. Christopher worked for twelve years as a forensic psychologist with young offenders and adults within the Ontario Ministry of Corrections. Since 2003, Christopher has dedicated himself to writing and furthering the aims of the Zero Point Institute for Mystical and Spiritual Science, while learning and working with Miss K. James Moffatt has been a lifelong friend and provided editorial and scholarly commentary on my work and writings. The Zero Point Institute is in Kemptville, Ontario, south of Ottawa. Christopher maintains a website at www.zeropoint.ca and hosts a bimonthly radio show with co-host James A. Moffatt on www.bbsradio.com. I have studied the issues of consciousness and self-realization, mystical and spiritual psychologies, modern physics and ancient metaphysics, for over thirty five years. In addition, I have experienced various paranormal phenomena, states of illumination and awakening, through my life; including a period of profound realization in the mid-1980s upon grasping the significance of the esoteric teachings of The Secret Doctrine. My interest in creation science, physics and metaphysics, has made The Secret Doctrine a long time companion and I am most pleased to have produced such a profound study as God, Science & The Secret Doctrine dedicated to the remarkable H. P. Blavatsky.
