Hardcover with no DJ. Brown cloth over boards with black leather at corners of boards and along spine. Gold lettering on spine. Title page dated 1854. No date on copyright page. 570 pages. Boards are square and firmly attached to binding. 6 inch long vertical patch of dark discoloration on front board. Lighter toning and fading on rear board. Leather over spine is lightly worn along edges. Leather at corners is also lightly worn. Raised leather bands on spine. Gold lettering on spine is dulled but still legible. Endpapers lightly toned. Gutters at endpapers are torn and partly exposing the binding, boards remain firmly attached to binding. 2 lines of notes from previous owner on front free endpaper. Front pages have light staining from water damage at top 2 inches of pages, not visible on pages after frontispieces. Illustration of a fish cloth as frontispiece. Page before this illustration appears to have been torn out and is absent from this volume. Pages have small spots of toning but text and illustrations remain clear and legible. Regular shipping by USPS Media Mail is $4. MEDIA MAIL SHIPPING DOES NOT INCLUDE TRACKING.
If you'd like tracking, please let us know before you place the order - We're happy to do it but it costs $1 extra because it means we have to print a shipping label for it individually, slowing down the shipping process considerably -- and we want to be able to keep basic shipping costs as low as we can.
