Claire Rudolf Murphy is the author of several books for children and young adults, including A CHILD'S ALASKA with photographer Charles Mason. After more than twenty years in Alaska, Claire Murphy and her family now live in Spokane, Washington.

Jane G. Haigh is an Alaska historian, museum curator, and author of several books including, Denali: Early Photographs of Our National Parks and Alaska Highway: A Historic Photographic Journey published by Wolf Creek Books. She lives in Fairbanks with her family.
