'To the Pious and Devout Reader' (12 pages), main text with header 'A Guide to Devotion', includes short catechism, An Exposition of the Apostles' Creed, Agenda or Things to be Done, A Short Method of Peace and Holiness with A Manual of Daily Prayers fitted to the Days of The Week, A Form of Prayer (paraphrase of The Lord's Prayer), Litanies for All Things and Persons (pp 1 - 112 - please note there is no sign of any 'Festival Hymns' as mentioned on the main title page | title page 'A Guide for The Penitent' pagination continues to p158, with header 'A Guide for the Penitent' | CONDITION: sound copy shows moderate general wear; volume is square and all pages are securely bound title label has loss at left edge, including the 'G' from 'golden'; six pages of handwritten notes precede frontis. 2nd frontis has two holes in the page; many pages are stained, but no to the point that text cannot be read; p.77 has minor handwritten corrections to text; p.93 has a tear but no loss of text (could be repaired with booktape); text block gilding is somewhat dull | additional images available on request | carefully packaged and dispatched from UK within two working days.
