First Printing. 5.5 x 8.75in. viii. 304pp. Publisher's cloth boards. The handsome chess themed bookplate of the lauded chess analyst John Thomas Head at the front paste-down. NEAR FINE in Very Good dust jacket protected in a removable archival cover. The book itself shows the boards very slightly shelf rubbed, an extremely small spot of discoloration at the top text-block edge, else Fine/As New. The dust jacket shows slight darkening, head and foot of the spine with marginal loss, front panel somewhat rubbed, price-clipped, otherwise remains bright and distinct. As pictured.
