About the Authors

Tom Davis is a contributor for Willow Creek Press titles including Just Goldens-Half Pint Edition.

For over 35 years, Dale C. Spartas has been an outdoor photographer and writer. His work has allowed him the pleasure of exploring and experiencing the outdoors in search of images to tell the stories of a vast array of outdoor activities and adventures. He has been fortunate that his assignments have taken him all around the world in pursuit of his art.

Dale has had more than 7,300 photographs published, as well as over 250 magazine covers. As one of the most respected and well known outdoor photographers, Dale is on the masthead of Gray’s Sporting Journal with more than 90 photo essays published in Gray’s since 1985. He is also on the masthead of Sports Afield, Trout Magazine, and Flyfish America. Editorially Dale is frequently published in Field & Stream, Outdoor Life, Shooting Sportsman, American Hunter, American Angler, American Waterfowler, Fly Fishing and Tying Journal, Ducks Unlimitted, Quail Forever, Pheasants Forever, Retriever Journal, Pointing Dog Journal, Men's Journal, The Field, Town & Country, Flyfisherman, Gun Dog, and Wildfowl among others.
