Probably A Good Book Paperback

This book is a delightful companion for the learning youngster or opsimath.
It takes the reader by the hand on an exciting problem solving adventure.
The subject of the problems is probability, but the main goal of the book is to develop the reader's ability to successfully, confidently, and independently tackle challenging problems -- a skill that finds applications everywhere.
When solving the problems the reader will get stuck, not know what to do, encounter dead-ends and simplify the problem in an effort to gain insights. The book stresses a mastery of the concepts and discourages plugging numbers into equations.
In short, the book doesn't train the reader how to solve particular problems in probability, the book develops general, independent problem solving skill that can be applied to any problem.
Before every problem there is a warm up section and after every problem is a "Test What You have Learned" section and a "Further Challenges" section. Complete solutions are provided. Makes a great gift and it would be an excellent companion for a long airplane ride!
