The BASIC Life Charity, based in Suffolk, UK We are the proud founders of Community Pop-Up/Top-Up Shops. We redistribute excess food via our partnerships with all major high street supermarkets to those suffering from food insecurity. Our model, started in 2013, has rapidly spread throughout the UK and was described as 'the perfect way' from the dispatch box in Parliament. In addition our three shops provide the local community with excellent cheap products and we have made significant donations to the community, including a �20,000 grant to nine locals schools and a �10,000 donation to local nursery schools to pay for essential equipment. For many years we have provide funding for free breakfasts for the children at three local schools. In our depots we have a good online presence with over 2000 items listed at all times on Ebay.
