In 2010 police killed over a thousand people in the U.S. Black people are 3x more likely to be killed by police than white people. 99% of killings by police from 2013 - 2019 have not resulted in officers being charged with a crime. The names of the murdered will not be forgotten. About the Authors

Edward Vidaurre is the author of seven collections of poetry. His new book of poems is Pandemia & Other Poems (Aztlan Libre Press, 2020). He is the 2018-2019 City of McAllen, Texas Poet Laureate, His writings have appeared or are forthcoming in The New York Times, The Texas Observer, Grist, Poet Lore, The Acentos Review, Poetrybay, Voices de la Luna, as well as other journals and anthologies. Vidaurre is the Editor-in-chief of FlowerSong Press.

Vincent Cooper is the author of Where the Reckless Ones Come to Die through Aztlan Libre Press and Zarzamora- Poetry of Survival. Cooper's poems can be found in several zines, journals and anthologies. He is currently working on his memoir and poetry of his time in the Marine Corps Pre/post 9/11.
