The Good Deed Crew and the Secret Valentine

The Grace Notes Children's Quartet, also known as The Good Deed Crew, wants to make a difference in their community of Tigothee Falls, Colorado, but they have promised to keep their good deeds a secret. Can these four bright and curious kids pull it off? Will the Good Deed Crew change the town without being caught?

Come along with Grace Notes on their next gig—background music at a chic boutique—that nearly ends in a catastrophe. The Good Deed Crew emerges once more after an accident in the icy weather. You won’t be able to stop turning pages as a mysterious secret admirer emerges, a melted chocolate spill nearly keeps them from completing their mission, and chocolate hearts lead to a surprising, beautiful love story. After all, it’s Valentine’s Day.

A breath of fresh air in a world of self-focus, the Grace Notes series sets a new example of humility for kids today. While performing as Grace Notes-a successful traveling children's string quartet-the four young players encounter crazy fiascos and discover the needs of those around them. Under the secret name of The Good Deed Crew and with the help of Addy and Jenny's Grammy E, the kids go out of their way to fill those needs, serving and loving those in their hometown of Tigothee Falls, set in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.

Christian author Kendra Parks has written this children's performing arts fiction series to bring more positive messages about humility and faith to young readers. Prayers are not edited out!

Additionally, Mrs. Parks draws on her own decades of experience as a musician (violinist) and teacher for her writing. Names of famous composers and classical music pieces are included and can easily be looked up and played for your young reader!

Grace Notes is an excellent beginning chapter series you can hand to your kids with confidence. The chapters are short and the Christ-centered message is clear.

Kendra Parks grew up reading books up in trees and playing her own violin in a traveling string quartet. She graduated from college with a degree in Communications-Journalism and has taught violin lessons and played music in countless venues. She has also worked professionally in design and been published in various print and digital platforms. Her heart in writing Grace Notes is to create fun stories centered around her love of music with moments of real-life faith included rather than edited out. She longs to create characters kids can identify with and emulate, knowing that God has amazing plans for their lives and that they can do great things in a humble way, regardless of their young age. She currently lives, creates and writes on the edge of a magical forest with her best friend/husband who is also a writer, four brilliant dreamers, and their fluffy, tail-wagging pup.
