Good Deeds Gone Wrong

What happens when every good deed you try goes hilariously wrong?

Stephen LOVES National Good Deeds Week. In fact, he might love it even more than his birthday! Armed with his Good Deeds Challenge checklist and a determination to make people happy, Stephen can't wait to spread kindness everywhere he goes.

There's just one problem.

His good deeds keep going terribly, terribly wrong.

Maybe being kind just isn't worth it.

But then someone does something unexpectedly kind for Stephen—and suddenly he remembers exactly why he loves making others feel good. Not every act of kindness turns out the way we hope, but that doesn't mean we should stop trying.

Good Deeds Gone Wrong, the bestselling picture book from multi-award-winning children's book author Ruthie Godfrey, is a funny and heartwarming story about kindness, good intentions, resilience, and learning to try again when things don't go according to plan. Children will laugh at Stephen's misadventures while discovering that doing something good isn't about getting the perfect response—it's about choosing to care.

Perfect for families, elementary classrooms, homeschool lessons, school counselors, and libraries, this engaging story opens meaningful conversations about kindness, empathy, perseverance, handling disappointment, and doing good for others. A wonderful reminder that even when a good deed goes wrong, kindness is always worth another try.
