Synopsis:

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the renowned Manhattan restaurant Good Enough to Eat, Carrie Levin presents this original cookbook full of recipes for the most important meal of the day.

About the Author: Carrie Levin, the chef/owner of Good Enough to Eat, was born in New York but grew up in Brussels, where her parents owned two small restaurants. After attending Pru Leith's School of Food and Wine in London, England, she moved to New York City and worked for Faith Stuart Gordon at the Russian Tea Room. She went on to apprenticeships under Seppi Renngli, then head chef at the Four Seasons, and with master baker Alain Braux at Delices de la Côte Basque.

About Good Enough to Eat(r) Restaurant Described by Zagat's as "more than good enough...[a] slice of Vermont on the Upper West Side," Good Enough to Eat opened its doors on August 13, 1981, as a small restaurant and bakery on Manhattan's Amsterdam Avenue. Born in New York City but raised in Europe, chef/owner Carrie Levin brought her sophisticated palate and culinary training back home to NYC to serve "good, old-fashioned, American food." In 1989 GETE moved a few blocks north to its present location at 483 Amsterdam Avenue, where "regulars" sit side by side with visitors from all over the world. Carrie has made it her life's mission not to disappoint them. She never has. Now, in THE GOOD ENOUGH TO EAT BREAKFAST COOKBOOK, she shares her very best, most in-demand recipes with you!
