Synopsis
It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time is the tenth collection of Stone Soup cartoons. Stone Soup is a syndicated comic strip that features a big, rowdy, multigenerational extended family, headed by sisters Val and Joan who live next door to each other. With precious little privacy and plenty of chaos, the Stone clan navigates life with toddlers, tomboys, and teens. Balancing work, kids, dating, step-parenting, money issues, and aging, the Stones struggle with the same issues we all face in life. Stone Soup is written with love and empathy for parents and kids of all ages.
About the Author
JAN ELIOT is a syndicated cartoonist who began cartooning as a way to maintain her sanity. As a divorced working mom trying to raise two young daughters, pay the bills, and still have at least a little fun once in a while, she discovered that cartooning helped her find a way to laugh at her sometimes frustrating life. Once she discovered that she could help readers laugh at their own lives, she was hooked. Eliot has been cartooning full time since 1995 when her comic strip Stone Soup began syndication through Universal UClick. Stone Soup currently runs in over 300 newspapers in the US and in international markets. She lives and works in Eugene, Oregon.
